Three licences: share freely, buy for your household, or teach with permission

Everything on this site is original work. These licences say plainly what you may do with each kind of material, so communities can use it confidently and nobody can quietly claim it as their own.

What each licence covers

If you are not sure which one applies to you, ask before you teach or publish. Permission is usually given freely when the source is credited.

Free-sharing licence

You may

  • Print, photocopy and hand out as many copies as you like.
  • Use them in a free class, church group, school or barangay session.
  • Translate them into your own language for local, non-commercial use.

You may not

  • Sell them, or bundle them with anything you sell.
  • Remove the Food Guild Farmacy name, copyright line or licence footer.
  • Republish them as your own work or under another brand.

Personal-use licence

Every paid PDF and bundle, emailed to the named buyer

You may

  • Print and use it for yourself and the people in your household.
  • Photocopy reasonable pages for family members working the same plot.
  • Adapt the plant choices and spacing to your own land.

You may not

  • Forward, upload, share or resell the file — the licence names one buyer.
  • Teach a paid course from it without a trainer licence.
  • Remove the licence footer, buyer reference or copyright notice.

Teaching-by-permission licence

Anyone who wants to teach the method to a group · granted free on request, in writing

You may

  • Teach the method to a group in your own area, free of charge, with the source credited.
  • Photocopy the free guides as handouts during your own sessions.
  • Adapt examples to your local climate and soil, with the source credited.

You may not

  • Charge for the material itself, or resell the paid PDFs.
  • Record and sell the written material as your own course or book.
  • Register trademarks, copyrights or patents over the design or written material.
  • Use the name or materials to raise grants, investment or donations without written permission.

How to attribute the work

“Based on Food Guild Farmacy / The Living Plot, a 25 sqm tropical food guild design from the Philippines.” Keep that line on any handout, slide, post or proposal that uses the design, the five living layers, the one-tree rule or the written learning path.
