Original, independent, and ongoing
Food Guild Farmacy is an independent food-and-livelihood project in the Philippines. The Living Plot is its 25 sqm worked example: designed, written, drawn, costed and taught by the project, and currently being built out plot by plot.
© 2026 Food Guild Farmacy. All rights reserved. The design draws on traditional Filipino food and plant knowledge, which belongs to the communities that carry it. What is claimed as original here is the specific arrangement, rules, learning path and written material listed below — not the plants themselves, and not the traditional uses recorded for them.
What is claimed as original work
The Living Plot 25 sqm layout
The specific 5 m × 5 m planting plan with distances measured from a single centre tree.
The one-tree rule
One tree per 25 sqm, with moringa reclassified as a coppiced 2 m leaf shrub rather than a second tree.
The five living layers
The layer naming, the plant selections and the documented swap-in options for each layer.
The three plot variations
The fruit plot, the medicine plot and the cash-crop plot as a single skeleton with a changed centre tree.
Keeping the harvest
The written home-preserving method for drying, fermenting and jarring what the plot produces.
The written learning path
The free, self-paced eight-step path through the plot design, soil, plants and kitchen.

How ownership is evidenced
Public dated publication
Every guide and page on this site is published with its date of first release and later revisions. The resource library shows when each item was added or replaced.
Versioned source record
The website, PDFs and curriculum are maintained in a dated, version-controlled record showing authorship history from first draft onward.
Licence footers on every file
Each PDF carries the copyright line and a licence footer identifying it as either a free-sharing copy or a licensed copy issued to a named buyer.
Buyer and trainer register
Paid guides are emailed to named buyers and trainer licences are issued by name, so any circulating copy can be traced to its source.
Correspondence trail
Enquiries, invoices and licence grants are kept as a dated record of who was given permission and on what terms.
